On her return from Ludicael, the ebony alphess would take the same path home, skirting the edge of a pack unknown to her once more. She stopped this time on the edge of the plains, where the scent markers dimmed, and pondered her choice. She was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to plant her feet firmly back on Olympian soil, but this pack was one of many that stood between Olympus and the lands beyond the west. If they could secure their borders with alliances and marriages, their conquest to glory would be all but guaranteed. The sable queen held her head high as she called through the waning night for anyone who could entertain her thoughts. Perhaps this pack would not be suitable for an alliance, but it would hurt nothing to find out. "Talk" "You" Think

There was a lot going on with the packs of Alacritis that it was hard for a wolf to catch up. It was long past time he went out on another go around of the packs that had changed and the ones he had missed on his first go. It was one of the things foremost in his mind all throughout that day as he went about the activities. He would have to enlist Sibelle and perhaps even Twig to help with the task ? there was a lot of packs out there and it wouldn't hurt to scout and know names before they went and intruded themselves and spoke of alliances.



It would seem he wasn't the only one concerned with getting to know the changing lands, as the ending night found him in Grass Plains of his lands he would hear a call summon the leaders of this pack. He would stop then, tilting his head curiously for a moment to listen to the call. He did not recognize the voice behind it and after a moment would start a light jog in the direction of the caller. He slowed as he approached until he was before the ebony queen at his borders. He would immediately take in the dark pits of her eyes and realize her for the unique wolf she was. Never had he seen one with eyes so dark, to match the shadows of her coat. ?Greetings, My lady, what brings you to Solstice borders? I am Crucifix, Alpha here? he would go on to explain.

She wouldn't wait long until someone greeted her, an Alpha from the pack. She could have asked for nothing better. She smiled and nodded her head in greeting as she took in his name. Crucifix of Solstice. "A pleasure, Crucifix. My name is Natalya, and I am an Alpha of Olympus, a pack just West of here." Natalya knew nothing of this pack that she had stumbled upon, but she recognized the name. Poe kept her fairly well-informed of general happenings in Alacritis. "I was on my way home from another meeting and thought I would stop by to discuss politics, if that is acceptable and of interest to you? I'm afraid I do not know anything about your pack, so I would greatly appreciate if you could help me to a learn a bit. I can also tell you of my home, and we can see if any potential lies between us." "Talk" "You" Think

He would give his name to the stranger and in the next moment she would identify herself as an Alpha. He would bow his head low in respect to her station as she gave it. Olympus had in fact been on his list of packs to visit and speak to, so her appearance here saved him that trip. The Olympus queen would give a speech and indeed show she was here in the hopes of an alliance. ?It is definitely of an interest to me, and i believe it would be mutually beneficial to find common ground in which to build an alliance? he confirmed after she had spoken. He would then go on to answer her question about Solstice, where she wished to know more about his pack. ?Solstice is a neutral pack, and i aim to keep it that way. I want to build alliances to ensure peace, and of course if we build an alliance and you where attacked unprovoked Solstice would come to your aid. I can also offer you the use of members in the thought of training if you where without a leader in a certain position ? as Bass did for me in lending me a warrior to train my wolves? he would explain, and lay out what he could offer her. He nodded his head then to see what she would say in turn about her pack.

The Matriarch listened carefully, assessing every one of the other Alpha's words. There was certainly potential for a working relationship between their packs. "Olympus is also a technically neutral pack, but if our members or home are threatened we will defend them. All of our members are required to endure vigorous training so that they are prepared to fight if necessary." She would go without mentioning her hopes of expansion, for she did not know or trust this wolf enough at this moment to share that with him. "If your pack was ever in need of aid or shelter, we would not hesitate to offer it. Also, while I do not have members to offer for training since most are still only just a year old, I do have another proposal for you." She shifted her paws before her. "It is a tradition in our family to arrange marriages. I can offer the possibility of such an arrangement to you, thought if you are not prepared to discuss it now it can wait. I will soon be hosting a festival to celebrate a wedding and to choose any additional suitors for our members. All allies will be invited."

He would say his piece and when he was done Natalya would in turn speak. He would be silent as she did so, listening as she laid out her own thoughts on Olympus, telling him that her pack was neutral and what her members would be expected to go through for warrior training. He couldn't help but smile wryly at that, his thoughts leading to Sibelle and how she would like the same for Solstice. She wanted the pack trained and ready for raids and anything they might be expected to face. She would then move forward with her words to outline what she could offer Solstice, prepared to offer aid to Solstice. It seemed an alliance would likely be worked out here, and the thought of a friendship between the two packs eased some of his worries. She would however say something that almost made the boy choke, telling him it was normal of her family to arrange marriages. When she said she could work out an arrangement he wasn't certain if she meant for him or for any pups he might have in the future. He swallowed that news and digested it a moment before responding. ?Its not in my family to arrange marriages, I couldn't imagine asking any of my children so life changing without asking them if it was what they wanted first, but.. I suppose that would be a chat for another time, I'm not certain if I may ever have pups? he said, but he couldn't help but smile at the thought, he had never entertained the idea of having children with Sibelle before.. he shook himself of the thought and returned to matters at hand. ?But as I said I can offer you the aid of my members should you need the assistance in certain fields of learning, and I am interested in the alliance between our packs working? he told her with a gentle smile. Natalya awaited the male's reply and smiled when it came. She nodded, understanding his concerns about arranged marriage. It wasn't something all wolves were interested in or comfortable with. But he was still interested in an alliance between their two packs, and that was what was important now. She nodded slightly before speaking again. "Well then, as we are both in agreement, I look forward to this relationship between our packs working. I hope that I will see you at our festival. I will send my raven, Poe, when the time has been decided."



She prepared to leave and gave an apologetic smile. "I am sorry for hurrying off, but I have been travelling for a few days and am eager to get home to my children. Thank you for granting me a bit of your time." And with a bow she was off, ready to finally be home.
