As soon as she could, Caspia had left to search for her sister, hoping that she was safe. The last night of making her way to where she assumed Calypsei was had not been easy. She hadn't slept much, if it all, trying to get there by dawn of this day. She hadn't managed to, though. Caspia glanced at the darkening sky, although there was still enough light to see by. Even though it was Spring, her paws left prints in the frost, the sound crunching beneath her paws. Flicking her light gray ear, her goldenrod eyes searched for her sister. As she walked, she heard the faint sound of water, and her ears perked upwards. Her weariness forgotten, she raced towards the sound, only stopping when she realized that she would have to jump off the cliff to get to it right away.

Annoyance shot through her, and she lay down at the edge of the cliff, her front paws just dangling off the edge. Taking a deep breath, she raised her head, a howl escaping her for her sister.

The girl had adjusted rather nicely to her home in Abaven, and truthfully, she wouldn’t trade what had happened to her for anything in the world because it taught her something very crucial: family was important, but it wasn’t everything. Cyan colors would be seen racing through the wind as she dared to venture beyond the lands of Abaven. She had been daring enough to take on a scouting, guarding, hunting role within the pack and she had scarcely any time to sleep with all she did. She felt she owed it to the pack to step up more than she had when she turned one, especially with Bass’s leave and Allen’s step up as leader.

Calypsei did not know Allen well, but she respected him because she had heard good things about him. She would ponder this as her nose took in the scents of the cliff that surrounded her. There were dashes of vole, a bit of mule deer, and a so sickly familiar scent, Calypsei began to wonder if she was hallucinating. This scent wasn’t the only thing she thought she had ensnared into her senses. A howl rang out – for her – and the sound came from none other but the muzzle of her sister, Caspia. The young temptress would know that sound anywhere; she had grown up with it.

They say you never forget family, and this was entirely true because it was impossible for Cal to forget Poseidon or Calypso or Nile or Caspia or any other family members she had grown to know and love, regardless of whether or not they had cast her out. She suddenly felt as if she had no control over her body as her royal blue legs carried her across the cliffs towards where the call had come from. The yearling’s ears perked up as her eyes widened and a small gasp was emitted from her throat. It was loud enough for her sister to hear. On the windswept cliffs, she saw her.

“Caspia?”

Disbelief started to bubble in her as she took in the grey, black, and white form that was her sister. It couldn’t be… Calypsei knew that there was no way Poseidon would let another one of his daughter’s leave his grasp after what had happened with her and Zeus. It couldn’t be. The girl’s whole demeanor changed as she thought, for the first time in her life, the girl might break down into tears.

Caspia hadn't been sitting there for long, but she was already getting a little impatient; the fact that she had missed her family, most likely, was making her so. She hadn't seen Calypsei since she was a pup herself, when the thing with Zeus had happened and forced them to move on. At the thought of her family pushing Calypsei out, she pinned her ears, having never really agreed with it. When a familiar scent came to her, however faint, she would get to her paws quickly, pulling her front paws away from the edge. Her golden eyes searched for any sign of her sister, excitement bubbling in her as she shuffled her paws, her mismatched ears pricked as she waited. Her sister would be here soon, right?

At the gasp, Caspia turned towards where her sister was, and she didn't think about what she was doing. She just ran, as fast as her paws could carry her, towards her sister's blue form, tears welling in her own gaze. She would attempt to pounce on her sister when she got close enough, her tail wagging so hard that it hit her sides a few times. "Calypsei! You have no idea how much I've missed you! I....." Her voice broke for a moment, as her fur was stained with oily tears. Her sister had changed, which she supposed was natural, but in a way it still hurt. Her sister was taller than she was, although that was nothing. She had found her sister, and that was all that mattered.

The young yearling still hadn’t been entirely sure that her sister, or this ghost of a figure, was actually her blood sister Caspia whom she had missed so very dearly. It was not until she heard that oh-so-familiar voice once more that she was convinced she was entering into a family reunion. For the first time in a while, she let a genuine smile crack onto her face as her sister would pound on her. The eldest sibling simply wrapped her entire face and neck around her sister’s side, letting her muzzle rest on the back of her neck. “I’ve missed you so much, Caspia.” The normally reserved girl let the flicker of emotion into her voice as the pain and betrayal hit her once more.

How come Caspia was here? Had Poseidon sent her to collect Calypsei back or was she just hear for the same reason – because she left. She took a deep breathe, relieved to catch the familiar scents of home as her sister started to cry. Calypsei’s heart went out to her little sister. She failed to notice the scent of other wolves in her pelt, marking her as a loner. It was simple, Calypsei had to, had to, bring her back to Abaven. Allen would take her for sure, and if not, perhaps she could talk to Lark and Tinaro for backup in standing up for her sister.

“Shhh, shhh, I’m here now.” The older sister felt some feeling build up in her chest. It was a certain protectiveness she felt over the shorter girl. Perhaps it was the fact that her sister was crying, or just the fact that her sister was so close, and she was palpable. Calypsei would never let her sister out of her sight again – she was essentially the only family she had left.
