Winters Night

He'd gone to patrol their new borders, the heat of the sand did exactly what he wanted it to do, especially over the shifting desert Sands. If one didn't pass out from heat exhaustion before reaching the Oasis then at least they would grow very irritated with the sand in their eyes and the relentless heat bearing down on them. He knew his pack could adapt, which was why he had chosen this place to begin with, for at the heart of the desert was a lush oasis perfect to call home.
It was then as he traversed near the borders, he would find footprints in the sand. Narrowed eyes would look for a moment before he took in the scent, obviously it was nobody from his pack...nor any other pack for that matter. With a growl he followed the trail, slightly deeper into his own territory until he found a slumped heap of fur lying in the sand. Pinned ears would signify his growing anger as he circled around the girl. Shadow fell across her form as amber gaze bore into her. "It's not wise to fall asleep in someone's territory...especially this one, loner."
