Báine frowned as she listed to the blue-hued pup's explanation. She couldn't imagine any of her siblings ever treating her like that! Siblings were supposed to protect and teach each other, not throw them out into the wilderness. Especially really young pups like him! She didn't even know this pup's brother and she already wanted to give him a stern talking to. "Well, that wasn't very nice of him at all!" The moment the pup started crying her gaze softened and every protective instinct in her came to the surface. "Oh no, no, don't cry! It's going to be okay!" She carefully nosed his paws away from his face and gently licked away his tears. "It's okay, I'll get you home. I lead my dad around a lot, maybe I can teach you a few of the things he does to get around? He's gotten pretty good at it." She smiled hopefully and tried to gently nudge him to his paws. "Come on now, there's no need to be scared any more. I'm going to watch out for you. What's your name? Mine is Báine." |
