Atreides had been doing a patrol - after all, the borders weren't automatically safe just because the sun was down - and was heading back in from the border with the intention of crashing in the barn for the rest of the night rather than heading back to his den. He had just passed by Valentine's tractor when he spotted the stranger seated there. He backpedaled, immedately twisting around in his tracks to return to the tractor. He eyed the darkness beneath the metal contraption warily - he wasn't sure if Valen actually denned under the tractor, but he'd seen him hanging out on and around it often enough that he wasn't really willing to risk waking him up if he did. Weird to find this stranger hanging out right next to it... was she one of his concubines or something? He definitely didn't want to disturb them if they were having... well, sex or something, but she was a stranger and he was curious. "You're up late," he whispered hoarsely, a yawn elongating the last word. "I've not seen you around before. New?"
