The leggy ebony warrior wove quite happily through the gathered packs, occassionally bumping shoulders with Valen, or sharing an excited grin with Drashiel's son, or running alongside her daughter or her son. This was not going to be another repeat of Lydovne, she could feel it in the air. There was a sort of electricity that carried the promise of blood to come. She didn't spare a thought to pity Sin - anyone who knew her would know that she did not care to become attached to anyone, and she was far too pragmatic to waste the emotion on someone who was nearly a stranger to her. Imperium was getting a great deal out of this war, and that was what mattered.
That, and getting a good fight or two.
Bass paused at the border to verify their location - had he not sent a scout to find the pack first? was he lost? - before raising his head and howling. A moment of irritation that he'd given away the element of surprise for some strange sense of honor was washed away by the rising flood of excitement. Let them be alerted, then. It would just mean more blood to spill.
