Looking Out, Looking In

Basking in the afternoon sun, legs outstretched and head resting on paws... it's what he could have been doing, but Xephyris wasn't the type to lie around enjoying himself. There were better things to do. Instead, he was trotting along the perimeter of the borders, working his body to maintain his muscle tone while he looked out for the pack. Maybe he'd even come across some worthwhile prey while he was out. What he hadn't expected to catch sight of was one of Sin's offspring, her paws dabbling at the edge of their territory. She looked a little too curious about what was beyond, and with no one else around, she was putting herself at risk.

Xephyris took off toward her; there was no cover in the plains, so he would charge head on toward her, a loud and threatening growl rumbling from his chest. As he drew closer, his lips curled back to reveal large, stained fangs, and he hoped to make her think twice about exploring on her own. Powerful legs would quickly carry him to her until he came towering over her, glaring down with menacing silver eyes and teeth flashing. "If I weren't one of the pack, you'd make an easy little snack for me right now," he snarled, teeth clicking together, "Surely your father has warned you about going off alone? Keep your paws off the border and stop looking so eager to leave our territory." Being that she was the spawn of Hellstrom's ruler, he was sure she'd give him some attitude, but he was prepared for that as he'd seen the spoiled attitudes of royal pups before.
