Only getting older
Well, he obviously didn't want to lead like his mother. There was something though, he didn't even want to do this. He wasn't worthy of being a leader or anything like that, as he swallowed almost having it catch in his throat. Riv didn't know what was the right or wrong answer, but it was his own that mattered to him. Goals, what goal had he set other than having to be someone his family can depend on. Soon enough, the whole pack too. He wouldn't think about protecting them, he WOULD protect them. Despite how ill-mannered, disqualified he felt for the job.
"The people who inhabit the pack are who are important. Without them there wouldn't be an alpha." It was a spitting image, maybe from someone he had deliberately been named after. "I never even thought about how you or my mom have led, I just figured I'd do what I can. A goal? I might not have a set clear one right now in my life but I know I will protect everyone and what they believe in. Guide them into the path they seek, and help them better themselves as wolves." Rivaxorus almost seemed deathly serious. As he looked at his great uncle, he was unafraid of what the right or wrong answer would be. Or any scolding, he truly had the spirit of the walker that almost started it all. Standing right by Allen's side if only she could.
