Say Goodbye To Innocence
Her heart pounded hard in her chest, little legs pumping her forward. She could make it! She had to make it! She could see the light, just a little further! Her ears fell back in an instant, the sounds of a laugh she'd never heard before reached her. It didn't sound like the kind of laughter that came from playing, or happiness. Not like the way she laughed. This sounded different...much more dark and...terrifying. She needed to get out, needed to get away from here. Up ahead, she saw the darkness of night, but there seemed to be alot of snow blowing past. A storm? Now? Oh gods help her!
She smelled the blood, but it wasn't from her. Not yet. She didn't hear the silent approach of the shadow cat. She was focused on getting out, and she almost made it. She was no more then ten or so feet from the exit when a sound she'd never heard before erupted behind her, and before she knew it, a stabbing pain flared in her right shoulder. A sudden yelp of pain sounded from her, a sound she herself had never made before. She was dragged to the ground, falling headfirst to the hard packed floor as the rest of her body followed suit. Forced to the ground, the girls belly was exposed to her attackers, but she would flail and try to wriggle away from the painful grip that the shadow cat had on her.
Tears began to flood her eyes, both at the pain and the intense terror she now felt. Never had she been in this position before, never had she been attacked or felt pain other then a thorn or something. But this, This was something else. This was excruciating pain. And for the first time in her life, she felt terror. She kicked and flailed, dual hued eyed opening wide as tears streamed down her face. She caught sight of Sin as he slowly approached her, and she didn't like the look he had. "Let me go! Please!" She cried out to him. In her fit of terror, she turned her attention to the leg that had her pinned, jaws opening as she wrapped them around Seifer's foreleg. A yowl sounded from the feline as his claws dragged painfully out of her shoulder, but as soon as she turned over to stand and run again, she felt fangs connect with the back of her neck, causing her to scream in pain. |
