Laufey's call from the border narrowed Katja's eyes, and she sighed. Not because she did not want to see or speak with her cousin, but because the last time he had called from the border it had saddled her with a troublesome thrall and a young child. Stori was a blessing for the otherwise childless Finnvi family, but his mother was... not a situation she wished doubled.
Arriving at the border it took her a moment to find Laufey's pale form in the tree well... with a much smaller dark form pressing herself to his chest. Katja closed her eyes a moment, sending a prayer for patience winging its way to the gods. "I suppose," she said dryly, opening silver eyes once more onto the cozy little scene, "I am to be grateful this one is conscious - even if she is on the wrong side of my border." She leveled a warning stare at the woman attempting to climb inside his fur, ice in her moon-silver eyes and nothing of tolerance in her bearing. Did the woman have no sense of propriety?
