Chasing Butterflies

Back into the gulley the pup would go. There was a lot to explore which slightly frustrated the girl because just when she thought that she was getting familiar with her new home they were to move again. First from Abaven to Sonticus before it became Borealis, and then they moved to new lands again before the change of paws to their new alpha that she didn't really know nor really cared anymore who the pack belonged to with all this moving there had to be a point where it would become stable. Continuing the exploration Alna would go further in unafraid of what there might be on this strange journey to what she believed was the western side of the fern gulley. After the news of losing Arian and the pain she seen Holly in the aftermath of that event just tore at Alna more and more as the days went on.

Hoping that Uncle Bass would let them go back home to Abaven she wanted her best friend Holly to be with them, to be apart of their family. Each step she took brought her closer to someone she was very unfamiliar with which brought her steps to a slow crawl creeping ever closer to Kaitlyn until Alna could see the other girl. After that event when she tried to comfort Holly as best she could brought doubt to Alna's heart and mind of making more friends, what if that same thing that caused her closest friend so much pain happened to another pup she became friends with. Would it be better for Alna to avoid them but before her mind could think the words would slip right on out as the young girl would stand, "Hi there what you looking at?". Something deep within Alna felt like it was conflicting, didn't she just tell herself that if she avoided the other pups in the pack and not make anymore friends maybe she could avoid the pain of seeing that same sorrow that Holly was suffering from but then without friends there would be no one to be with when she might need them most.
