Silveris watched as the woman sighed, and wondered if she had been treated the same way at one point, but it probably wouldn't really matter now; it seemed that the pup had found a new mother, a better mother. The woman asked her a question, and Silveris found herself answering with her entire name and her nickname.

My name is Silveris Latchme. I have a few nicknames, but the one most wolves call me is Buttercup. Silveris paused as she waited for the woman to respond with her own name, but she didn't. Instead, she sat for a few minutes, while Silveris silently sat and began to catch her breath, from talking so much that time and the other times she had spoke. Then, the woman stood up, saying she would get Silveris a meal; the child stood up as her stomach rumbled silently, and ran next to Loccian like a younger pup. She found her tail wagging at Loccian, and she finally spoke to ask the woman her name; after all, she didn't want to travel with a wolf whose name she didn't even know. She turned and watched the stream for a while, in the curious way of a pup, then turned back to the woman and asked her the question.

Um. What's your name? A three word question, that was almost followed by the question "Do you have any pups I could meet?" But The pup held her tongue on that one.
