Pyre was nestled down in a grouping of bushes, his eyes trained in on some kind of rodent kind of thing that was standing on top of the odd pile of tree branches in the water. He had never seen a beaver or a dam before so he had no idea what it could be. Could he eat it? Would he even be able to hunt it while it was on that pile of tree branches? Sure if could hold the weight of that rodent thing, but he didn't know if it would crumble under his weight. The sound of someone lapping at the water caught his attention and he glanced away from the weird flat-tailed creature for a moment, spotting the darker-colored woman a short distance away. Pyre poked his head out of his hiding spot just enough so that if she looked in his direction she would be able to see him. "Pssssst!" he whispered, hoping he wouldn't have to get too loud for her to hear him. "Hey, over here! Do you know what that is?" he asked, motioning with his head toward the beaver. |
