On Edge

At his smile, Dea found her tail lightly thumping the ground beside her front paws. At his suggestion, a small laugh bubbled up from her throat. "It would only be rude if you assumed the number was greater than the one I gave you." This banter was entertaining, and while it was not with her siblings or parents, Dea was glad for the company.

His next quip had her laughing outright, a mystical sound that simply captivated the ear. "I suppose only the victim of the murder attempt would find it rude, and any loved ones lurking about, provided the victim lived through the encounter. The predator in the situation may find it completely in their nature to push wolves from cliffs, who knows. It is all, of course, open to speculation and point of view, then, isn't it?" Another smile was flashed his way, "I am glad to hear you would hate to do such a thing, though something tells me you aren't quite telling the truth."

As he dipped his head, Dea found herself wondering what the gesture could mean. Some wolves lowered their heads in challenge, if that were the case, the male was truly about to push her from the cliff and she would have to hope she hit water rather than rock. Her suspicions were nullified as he spoke, however, and she hid her feeling of foolishness from prying eyes. "Do you remember what number you were on?" She asked with a grin.

Dea stood then, backing away from the edge to allow him to continue his counting, listening as he introduced himself. The descendant of a god? Interesting! Dea lifted her head proudly and puffed her chest as she introduced herself, her mood suddenly increased. "Dea Andromeda Asmodeus, daughter of the devil, pleased to make your acquaintance, Archon." She bowed her head slightly, an odd look in her eye as she watched him. "You said a descendant, you have family?" Her head tilted almost comically as she looked him over with a silent appraising eye.
