She had been pretty quiet since Talis' fall. But she supposed she had been even before then. She had never been without a pack since she was born, so the world beyond the borders was practically unknown to her. She had been afraid to go outside, but since they had been displaced, she learned. It wasn't so bad now that she thought about it. She actually quite enjoyed the freedom, and she was still with her family. She did kind of miss the structure of pack life, however.
She followed a path along the beach, one traveled often by those who had stuck around to continue following her older brother. She never really questioned him on when they would return to pack life, and she supposed she wasn't really in a rush to do it either. It was then that her blue eyes caught sight of fresher tracks in the snow, and her brothers fresher scent on the breeze. Ah, so her brother was nearby? Excellent! She had been growing bored and uncertain, so she quickened her pace until she had caught up with him. "Good morning, brother! How are you today?" |
