Blood and Bone

Sten snarled as she charged forward lowering his head as she slashed at his thigh,  he wheeled his hips away, digging his back paws into the earth to surge forward, lifting his right paw to his chest as he sought to drive his chest against her hip, hoping the hard planes of his wrist would find her kidney and cause her additional harm. His jaws remained parted, seeking to close them around her scruff and grapple her into submission as he closed the distance between them.

He checked his defenses mentally, his back toes splayed, his shoulders rolled forward, ready for impact, his hackles raised, his tail flagging out for balance, his eyes narrowed, his nose lifted, and his lips pulled back over his gums. This was the kind of fight he hoped for, one where he was at a disadvantage, her with her weapon made her a worthy opponent, capable of bloodletting.
