Deathbelle and Archon had gone together to see to business at the Vulcano. Deathbelle had come back alone, in the shadows of the erupting volcano. It didn’t take a genius to understand that Death would not have left behind one she loved, unless she had thought him gone.

She was vacant and empty well she ordered about the pack, but she could not hide her pain from him. He had given them time to get the pack to safety, to keep Zee, Deathbelle, and the kids in his sight at all times. As soon as the pack was settled, he had left Zee in charge of the kids, and dragged Deathbelle away before she could sink into misery. He found a quiet niche for the two to speak, and nudged her into it.

“Alright, tell me” he said. He kept his voice quiet, and stern, hoping he could draw out her pain before it could fester. Her entire life was changing, her pack was relocated, her mate and the father of her children was likely dead. But, Deathbelle had survived worse, he had seen her. She would survive this, he would ensure it. He wanted her to snap at him for dragging her away, he wanted her to show emotion, to tell him what hurt. To give her an outlet.
