Her opponent changed positions to face her and in doing so threw off her attacks. The outside of her shoulder hit the point of his shoulder hard and sent pain flaring up her leg. Her teeth missed his knee entirely and instead found purchase on his elbow. This, combined with the change in position, rendered all of her attacks meant to tip him over (and away from her) save the slash from her arm guard useless. Valkyrie released the useless bite immediately and recoiled; stepping back in time with his shove instead of fighting against it so as not to lose her balance.

She felt his teeth close over the back of her neck and immediately drew her hind legs under her while lifting her front legs into the air. She sought to raise her paws up over her head and drag her claws down both sides of Chaos' face. She couldn't see exactly where to aim them - obviously - but she was hoping to raise them high enough to drag her claws from his eyebrows down to his cheeks. The right paw was the easiest to aim as it didn't require her to reach over her head to make contact, but the left was a bit tricky. She swung wildly over her head with it knowing it was more likely to skip down his forehead into thin air than find purchase in his cheek. But a girl could hope, right?
