Zee gently nudged his paw away, and instead used it to push gently against her neck, offering her head extra padding and support as he looked to his sister and the Empress. They were here because he and his Wife trusted them the most, because they needed to take charge and ensure Zee’s safety and wellbeing throughout this… they were here to bring his children into the world. He had tried so hard to dwell on that thought, the excitement, the incredulous feeling of joy it left him with.

He felt his wife lean against him, and he took her weight gladly, nudging against her in return. His instincts were in overdrive, and he was very glad that it was only Io and Death in the den with them. He had a feeling he would have snapped at anybody else that dared tread upon the moment.
