Winterfell vs Abaven Raid
04-15-2020, 06:14 PM
Hearing Acere's call caught Corvus by surprise. Not because he hadn't been expecting Winterfell to come and make true on their promise to raid them - but because it'd just been awhile since he'd heard the news. He'd been half-tempted to take a trip to Winterfell himself to talk to Ignis, but he'd been busy. Between training and spending time with Twig, and keeping an eye out for Beat's siblings, he'd just been too preoccupied to justify the trip. And now here he was, feeling slightly dumbfounded as the call rang out, and all of Abaven sprung to action at once.
He barely hesitated, loping across the plains with purpose, finding time to adorn his foolish looking helmet and much-less-foolish badger fur bracers, the ones he and Twig had crafted together. By the time he arrived, quite a few wolves had already gathered.. and was Theory already engaging in a fight versus Acere? He tried to contain himself from letting out a hoot of encouragement, instead focusing on everything else that was going on. His first instinct was to find Twig, to make sure she was okay... but hardly anything had even happened yet, so he didn't know why he was worried. He was distracted quickly by Ignis though, and the flurry of emotions that suddenly bombarded him was confusing. He was relieved to see him, but he couldn't shake the slight annoyance he felt at him being here, too. The circumstances were admittedly frustrating and it felt unfair to unleash this on them when they'd gone through so much.
His attention zeroed in on Ignis as he strode toward him. He hadn't thought about fighting him before, but it only seemed natural now... surely his friend wouldn't just let him win, right? It was hard to imagine hurting him, and Corvus didn't really want, to, but he didn't want to go easy on him either. Torn between offering some friendly banter and just leaping into things, the latter option won out after a moment of scrutinizing. Narrowing his eyes, he took off suddenly toward him, shoulders rolled forward as he made to charge him head-on. Regardless of how Ignis reacted he tried to follow his lead, tried to lift himself up onto his hind legs and wrap his paws around the other male's neck and hopefully send him tumbling down to the ground, frustration suddenly welling up and unleashing in the pure force of his body.
