Sigrun watched with keen interest as Mortis stepped into the ring, his posture revealing his intent without the need for words. Her mood changed immidiately as the gears in her head began turning. She would have to make the first move, and she'd have to be smart about it. The longer she waited, the better he'd be able to avoid or calculate her actions.

There was no denying her disadvantage in this fight. Mortis was massive in comparison to her, and with size came brute strength. She'd have to rely on her speed and her mind, though something told her that this was not a fight she could win. Unfortunately, this didn't seem like a spar she could just opt out of.

The yearling lurched forward, trying to account for the resistance of the sand and the difficulties she'd have making tight turns because of it. Charging him head on would be unwise, but perhaps if she was fast enough she could slip herself underneath his jowls to grab onto the underside of his neck? It would leave her open and vulnerable if it did not work, but Siggy had always believed that risks were worth taking, so she threw all caution to the wind and went for it.
