Dreams and Wishes

Finally, Autumn was upon them. Though, in the far north that she called home, Euphrosyne couldn't tell much of a difference. The pines held their green year round and it was always a constant frigid cold. The fea had grown used to the cold, but she missed the changing colors of the leaves in other parts of Alacritis in a way. The reds, oranges, and yellows that painted the leaves were a signal that the world was going to sleep, getting ready for the cold and snow of winter. There was another signal that always plagued Syne right around this time of year and it had hit her like a ton of bricks this year, finding her like clockwork as the seasons changed. Her heat was very much awake and alive unlike the icy land around her. She padded aimlessly through the territory that she called home, weaving in and out of the pines. She thought of Talon, her friend and adopted pup. The little three-legged wolf with silver eyes and a huge heart. She wondered how he was adjusting to the cold weather, knowing that it had been a huge transition from the south that he had called home before. She hadn't seen him much today, trying to distance herself from the pack as her heat got under her skin. She was sure that Isardis would come find her eventually, but till then she was just trying to keep her wits about her and not go find him herself. Having Talon around had reminded her of the days when she had wanted her own family, her own pups. Maybe now was her chance. It wasn't quite what she had in mind when she had her naive puppy dreams of a family, but Isardis could still be a father to her pups all the same, couldn't he? She could be a good mother to them, and Talon could have siblings again... Perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea after all. Or maybe it was her heat telling her that. Either way, she lifted her earthen brown striped muzzle to the sky, calling out to her alpha, hoping to bring him here to make her dreams of pups come true. Speech Thought Others |
