What a Journey

Erebus |
There was much to see and much to explore. Since his recent arrival to the lands, the lone black wolf had made contact with his former pack and things were finally looking to be on the brighter side - or at least as bright as it was going to get for a wolf like him. He didn't have many connections yet here and to some that made him dangerous, a wolf with nothing to loose, but then they wouldn't have understood him very well. Erebus wasn't the type to cause drama, but only known to finish it when it impeded him and his goals or those of his pack, but as of now that was irrelevant. He was finally at peace for the first time in two years. He wasn't having to constantly look over his shoulder and scrape by, he finally had security and with that security came the liberty of leisure. So this is what it is to not have a care in the world... The wolf riddled to himself as he continued his exploration and familiarization of the lands. His large, long and sleek frame traveled effortlessly over what had now become a granular terrain, his senses picked up the salt in the air as he moved closer to the sound of the crashing waves. It had been an eon since he'd seen the sea and his heart was eager to see the beautiful sight. He elongated his stride to a lope, up over the hill from the west and the sight of the sea plains spilled out before him in unmasked beauty. The sun was beginning it's set and the salt air whisked at his shadowed coat, the chill of autumn trying to penetrate his thick defenses to no avail. He drank it all in, his body and mind at ease...he couldn't resist the urge to come closer and so he moved stealthily down the slopping terrain until his body traveled parallel to the ground, crashing waves ahead. He stopped just short of the water, not bold enough in this moment to get wet. There was much more to explore anyways. He turned and traveled parallel to the fragrant waters until a cypress grove caught his attention. He watched it closely, as though to determine why his senses were screaming. And then his acute eyes caught the sight of another darkly hued wolf. His interest was peaked, but his body was tense. He knew not who the wolf was and quite frankly wasn't even sure which packs were friend or foe to his own. Well standing here and staring isn't going to accomplish anything. Mind made up, he made his approach, to what he could now more clearly see as a female she-wolf...simply sitting. Odd place to be sitting alone... He pondered as he drew close, but then she had probably just seen his most undignified display. I guess that makes us even. He approached with a commanding aura, but not one of disrespect. He just didn't trust her...or anyone really for that matter. He paused a respectful distance from her and cocked his crown curiously, dipping it in respect as he greeted her. "Hello." That was all. Best to keep things simple at first... Walk ---- "Speak" ---- "Hear" ---- Think |
