My Anaconda Don't Want None

Hattori was strong but the snake was stronger. He felt the muscles shift and coil beneath his grip, stubbornly holding on with all it had and refusing to let go. The wise move would have been to cut its loses and try to escape, but even with the water that surrounded them Hattori suspected that the snake knew that simply wasn't an option. He knew snakes could swim pretty fast but would it be able to dash away quick enough to avoid the jaws of three wolves? Probably not. He had no idea what thoughts were running through the snakes mind but if he had to hazard a guess it would be that...it was laying all of its cards on the table. Going all in with a frontal assault, giving all it had or it'd die trying.
His grip was waning, the snake was covered in mud and brackish slime, and the more it trashed the further Hattori's grip slipped. He was nearing the thinned end of its tail and Hattori knew he'd have to do something lest he drop it. Unless... His jaws opened and the snakes lower half made a splash landing but before it had time to make advantage of its new found freedom Hattori slapped his paws forward and raked his talons into it. Pinning them down far more effectively than his teeth had managed to.
