Jupiter hummed in response to the woman's words. She had a point. Wolves lacked the dexterity and while companions like Amadeus could make pretty intricate things, they lacked the strength to work metal. Perhaps someday he'd meet a big primate who could. There were some big ones out there. Though he'd never seen one, supposedly there was a massive, tailless type known as a gorilla in Auster. Jupiter considered himself a smooth talker so if he ever met one he would do his best to recruit it for Fireside. Or, maybe, just for himself. His business could use the boost.

His gaze flicked from the chain to Venom. "Life's not the only one." Alright, he was going to go there. How could he not? The tongue was intriguing. "I've seen a lot of strange things, but I can't say I've ever seen a wolf with a snake's tongue before." Was it a family trait like the Saxes and their big teeth and the Finnvis and their claws? Or, more amusedly, was she proof of interspecies hook ups? Snakes and lizards were far removed from furry mammals, but who was he to shame? "If I didn't know any better, in a place like this, I might be worried." Full of lovely trinkets as this place may have been, who was to say he wasn't conversing with a vampire? It was an equally entertaining thought.
