Lee was out early in the morning, the sunlight just beginning to peek above the horizon and light the dark sky, she was on a mission and she was determined to find some herbs that she could salvage now that it looked like the winter chill was not going to be leaving any time soon. She still had plenty of stock in her den but she knew that her supply would not last forever. The russet brindle girl moved swiftly deeper into the moor with a small frown on her delicate features when the morning dew clung to her fur and the cold air numbed her toes and paws. Lee was certainly not thrilled with the extended winter that the land seemed to have planned for them. Laoise finally slowed to a casual walk when she reached the place she had gathered herbs before the winter freeze and started her search, hoping that at least something would be trying to grow through the cold.
She was deeply focused on her task but after several minutes in, the russet and charcoal yearling started to get a weird feeling that something was not quite right. At first she brushed it off with a flick of her dark tail but after a few breaths, the girl finally lifted her head to look around. Laoise did not see anything out of the ordinary as she scanned the area, though the fog was thick and hard to see through. She shrugged a shoulder and turned her eyes to the ground once more before she remembered her dad saying that she should use her nose not just her eyes. So Lee lifted her nose to the air, snuffling, sneezing once at the moisture in the air that tickled her nose but finally capturing a scent. "Kaija?" Lee said in confusion, the pup was far from the den and she did not smell the girl's mother nearby. Abandoning her mission, Lee turned and quickly tracked down the girl, finding the pup sniffing and exploring but obviously intent on finding something to get into. "Hey, what are you doing out here in this cold without your Mama?" Lee said when she neared the grey toned pup, a russet brow raised in question as Lee tried to mimic her mother's stern but amused expression. She was older than Kaija so she could act motherly and be nosey right?
