She was back near the swiftly flowing river. The sounds of fish splashing the water accompanied the burble of it moving steadily along. Sera’s paws wandered aimlessly. She felt restless and uncertain. She didn’t know where she fit into Fireside, and had made the decision to leave that pack. She had hoped it would provide her with security against her foes, but it was starting to feel like another chain about her neck.
So now she was alone again, and she wandered down the stream, wishing it could wash away her feelings of frustration and helplessness. She almost didn’t notice the other wolf. The giant of a creature. Not because he blended into the surroundings, but her absentmindness had gotten away with her. She blinked him into focus, with his thickly shaggy neck, and great purple bulk. He strangely had the look of a lion, though he was clearly a wolf. She eyed him cautiously, wondering what trouble she was stumbling upon now. “Good morning to you.” she said warily.
