Pack meeting

Artorias watched while the other wolves of the Armada assembled, some of Briar's siblings showing up first and some other wolves he didn't know. Zee appeared and joined her husband, and then Briar did, pointedly giving her mother a kiss and not addressing her father before coming to sit beside him. He gave her a stunned glance, a little surprised by the brazen show of rebellion to her father, then shot Sirius an apologetic "I have no idea what's happening" look. He leaned back against her all the same, supporting her weight while they listened to what the Warlord had to say. Suffice to say, it was not good news. His damage report had found that all of the food was a loss, and most of the furs were too waterlogged to be salvaged without becoming mildewy. They had maybe enough blankets for half of the pack, not counting whatever was saved from the other dens, and the dried herbs were all but destroyed as well.
"Food and medicines will be priority, since they're about to become scarce with the coming winter," he said mostly to Sirius, but to the collective as a whole as well. "I'll help for as long as you need me. I can dig new stores and I can help the hunting parties. When I return to the Hallows, I'll see what we have a surplus of that we can offer." He had a feeling Briar would have wanted him to go escort her on the diplomatic ventures, but he wanted to provide a more tangible support to his allies. Right now his paws were better suited to digging and stalking than they were standing around beside the princess. But with his time in the Armada running short and winter's chill fast approaching, he knew time was not on their side. The wolves of the Armada would need to work fast and efficiently if they ere to be prepared.
