His jaws landed in the fire-flecked man’s scruff, a mouth full of fur greeting him and he fought to wrinkle his nose at the taste. However, he was careful not to draw blood. This was a spar among two friendly wolves, not some brawl, there was a code to upkeep and even if he lost, he knew he wouldn’t be a sore loser. He appreciated Lament letting him challenge him all the same.

The man’s long legs wound their way around his midsection, threatening to pull him over the more he tugged. Well, that was fine with him. The boy intentionally pulled as hard as he could then used the momentum from the two falling to brace himself and roll, fighting to remain on top so that he could pin the man beneath him and hopefully end the spar in his favor.
