Sedna had given Azure no answers, nothing beyond her witty assumption that Azure's balls were simply as special and mutated as the rest of him was - which, in any other situation he might have appreciated the remark - and assurance that Hana took the birth control as directed. They had a backup plan, some method of terminating the growth within her should that be required, though Azure struggled to give the idea any actual thought to it. While he had no attachment to these 'children' of his, some part of him already felt protective over them and to end their lives before they'd began.. it felt like betraying his family, himself, the Fatalis name.

And so, rather then wait this situation out longer and risk Sirius' wrath for having not come to him up front, Azure left Hana and Sedna to speak with his father in private. He'd gathered up the best alcohol he could find - though the new Champion did not drink often to know for sure - and settled in beside the bonfire. He allowed himself a few sips to steel his nerves and then called for his father. It was time to test exactly how much the Warlord's love for puppies won out over respect for his own law.
