So she had nothing to offer him? Just vague responses based on faded thoughts? If she was telling the truth the fault was not her own, but he couldn't help but wonder if this was a poor attempt to hold her cards close to her chest. To feign innocence when all else failed. He blinked slowly as she went on to admit she'd only just managed to hold onto her name, like it had been an uphill struggle with the risk of losing it all looming over her shoulder all the while.
