Ulmaria's terms for the loser's burden were more than acceptable to Lore, but she'd barely gotten the emphatic, "Deal!" past her lips before her sister was charging. Lore only had a split second to drop her stance and steady herself, ears pressed flat against her skull. She felt her sister's teeth zing against her cheek and growled against the pain, more in reflex than anything else. Ulmaria also reached up to grapple around her neck, but being the larger of the two Lore figured she could use her heavier weight to her advantage. She jumped forward into her sister's grip, hoping that on only two legs Ulmaria would be easy to topple backward, or at least sideways, and get pinned. At the same time, she tucked her muzzle down into the minimal space between them, trying to wedge her snout under Ulmaria's chin for whatever grip she could manage on Ulmaria's throat while also protecting her own.
