At first, her skin bristles as if her fur was still there. She could feel the prickle lining her spine in defense as his scrutinizing eyes stare at her. Didn't he know it was rude to do that? Her lips are still in a firmly pursed line as she waits for him to say something. Was he just going to stare at her all night in the rain like some pathetic puppy? Feeling nearly defeated, her eyes close for a moment until the sound of wet grass rustling made her look. He was moving closer to her. As if she wasn't some naked rat laid out for anyone to grab. Her heart rate escalated as he sits beside her and feels his tail wrap around her haunches. Freezing in the moment, her eyes look up at him when he asks if being naked upset her. Of course, it upset her! She was naked. So terribly naked without her fur. It was a part of her and she was lost without it. Wishing her cat would do something, she could tell the companion was just as shocked as she was. Even as the brute rumbled about her being irresistibly beautiful, Celeste was left speechless. Why couldn't other boys talk to her like this? The thought of being called a ballsack flitted through her mind and for a mere second, she wanted to laugh. She had other issues at hand to deal with though. Tilting her chin up, she met his gaze that had curled closer to look at her, she wasn't sure what to do. What was she supposed to say? They were now sitting, flanks touching, on a cliffside in the rain as a storm thundered out in the distance. Bless her heart for screaming no and reminding her that she had feelings for someone else. But her brain also said fuck it, he had brought another girl home. A sort of dizziness enveloped her as she tried to sort out a response. This certainly was a first. Maybe she really was a damsel in distress that couldn't handle being out in the wilderness alone. "I appreciate the compliment," she finally croaked out through her dry throat. Blinking a few times, she wasn't about to back down as her senses came to. "I'm really not all that helpless. Just a tad dramatic," Celeste whispered because she didn't need to speak up due to their closeness. |
