An abrupt wave of courage crashed over the enigmatic phantom, fueling her rigid limbs to pull the entirety of her masculine body upon the solid surface of the frozen lake, neither feeling trembles beneath her paws nor disturbed by the cacophony of shattering ice as it sustained her mass without falter. Metallic and amethyst gaze lingered upon the illuminated areas that outlined her paws, pupils permeating the sheet of ice she had rooted herself to as she attempted to scavenge for the answer to her wonderment, failing to detect the microscopic and bioluminescent creatures that emitted the faint light that so perplexed her. Instead, her eyes devoured naught but the aquatic vegetation that billowed far beneath her paws and a small variety of fish that somehow still managed to survive in the freezing climate, fully captivating her attention as she observed silently and curiously, oblivious to the fact that her presence had attracted an onlooker. A singular brow quirked upon her forehead as her attention was directed towards the invader that had presented itself in the form of a single syllable, muzzle tipping towards her side as she attempted to peer over her shoulder at the creature. Through her peripheral vision, the pallid adolescent was greeted with the silhouette of another canine who appeared similar in stature, causing her entire body to pivot slowly in its direction to enable a better view. Vagueness crept across her porcelain countenance as her pupils trailed the dull features of the unknown, lingering upon the other?s deep cerulean eyes as she retorted. ?How terrifying,? she drawled, the sardonic tone to her response pronouncing her insincerity. |
