But what about the cooties?

Gwynevere gave the large feline an appreciative smile as he got up and moved away from the pair at Bowen’s direction. She hated that even bringing this up to her sister made her so uncomfortable, but there was no denying how nervous and uncertain she felt about the whole thing. She wished she could have even a fraction of her siblings’ confidence. Bowen patted the grass beside her and Gwyn didn’t hesitate to join her. This was why she was here, after all, and a little part of her was just glad to be spending a bit of time with her sister. She couldn’t remember a time when they had actually spent time together since they were pups and it was long overdue.
Her ears flicked uncertainly when Bowen questioned her, a shy smile pulling at her lips as she looked down at the grass between her paws while she fidgeted with it. “Um… I need some… advice.” It would likely be more like instructions and lessons by the time they were done, but advice sounded at least a little bit more like she wasn’t entirely out of her league. “There’s a boy I… that I love.” She almost said that she liked him, but that wasn’t quite right and saying it even just to Bowen felt like a disservice to how deeply she felt about Ysmir. Her face burned hotter as she tried to actually form her questions, picking away at the grass under her paws.
“I’d like to go further with our relationship… physically. I just don’t know how. Well, I mean, I know how, like physiologically, but… How do I initiate things or do anything without feeling so… nervous and awkward? I’m just so afraid I’m going to mess something up or make a fool of myself.” She sighed with a frown, frustrated with her own insecurity and shyness. She had made a lot of progress in the last couple of seasons, mostly with Artorias’ help, but this felt like a hurdle she didn’t know how to even begin climbing. If Bowen could at least show her where the first foothold was maybe she could find a way over it.
