Hattori glanced over at the sound of the approaching Hohei, he wasn't surprised to see the warrior out and about but found his offer of help well-placed. He was a useful wolf to have around, one that proved himself to be an asset time and time again. Dropping the sack, Hattori nodded.
"Yes, if you will." From the looks of it, the dappled wolf had already put two and two together, could follow the Kaicho's line of thought without too much direction. Good. "I intend to make a pitfall with some bamboo. With some stalks about...this width. " He made his way over to the shrubbery, and extended his paw as he measured how thick the stacks were. Just a little smaller than his paw, but still sturdy.
Bending down to his sack, he rummaged around for a two handled saw. Handles wide enough for both wolf to grab an end and saw back and forth. Doing it alone would have been impossible, he would have had to call for his akita to help, but now Usagi was here there was no need for that.
"Start slow. Watch for splinters." He instructed as he picked up his end and waited for Usagi to do the same. Once he'd done so he shuffled over to the bamboo and got into position, slowing ripping the saw wide to side as he carved out a line.
