A mark of change

Red paws keep pace with the tall Warlord as he leads them North and Keahi hopes his home isn’t too far away. The night’s air holds a bitter bite and the tropical wolf finds teeth beginning to chatter. Luckily, home is close by and her red eyebrows raise in surprise when they cross into Armada land. Sirius explains about the woods being the hunting lands and she gives an absent nod of her head while her blue eyes scan the land. The trees give way to the Col and she spies the flickering light of a fire. Paws pick up the pace once she realizes that Sirius is leading toward the awaiting warmth and once they get close, her eyes shift over toward the tall obelisk that raises from a patch of freshly turned earth.

With the fire spreading it warm tendrils through her chilled body, Keahi is content to listens as the Warlord talks but her eyes never leave the Obelisk. Silently, she studies the words etched carefully into the stone face, taking time to read each tenet and comment the laws to heart. The fact that the dens are heated by an underground lava source has a smile tugging at her lips even as she continues to read. Her red head dips in understanding as he explains that they have just moved and she finally turns to face him, having finished her reading. It is obvious that Sirius cares about his pack and Keahi knows she has thrown her lot in with a good group. She says, “I like this place. The laws are easy to understand and a heated den sounds amazing. Is there a den that I can use to bed down for the night?”
