The patch-work dog gives Keahi a toothy grin and she responds with a small smile. Kione agrees to the race and they both get into position along the river bank, the wild dog stating when the race will start. Red head nods as her muscles coil, readying to take off when the rock hits the water. Blue eyes watch as the rock leaves his paw, following the arch up and descent back down. The rock breaks the surface and Keahi is off, an explosive burst of speed rocketing her forward. Long legs gallop across the bank, her focus purely on the finish point and not her racing partner. The bank jogs to the left and she moves with it, weight easily shifting to the side as she rounds a tight turn. The heat is oppressive but the tropical wolf loves it and the race makes her feel the alive.
