The beach was picturesque, white sand stretching further than Sybil could see, the sparkling waves lapping at the shore. Further back, a dozen well trodden trails wormed their way through the brush, low to the ground, and in some ways just as vibrant as the ocean. Shells dotted the sand, spanning most of the visible spectrum, but favouring mostly milky peaches, oranges and the occasional coral pink. Crabs made their way across the expanse, burrowing and foraging, doing what would be expected of crabs. A perfect day, if it weren't for the suffering heat. It wasn't actually that warm, but heat and humidity were an unpleasant combo, even for those who were unable to sweat. The stickiness of it all crept into Sybil's fur and staying there, harsh sun heating her coat relentlessly. She felt like she was being boiled. She did not recall what summoned her here, to this hellish landscape, but she'd suffer through it, so long as there would be an end. If not, She'd seriously consider striding into the ocean and never resurfacing. This was not her land. This was not her weather. This was not her day. Something crept from behind the cliffs at her back however, promising to change that. The storm was out of sight for now, but it was swiftly approaching, like a big cat on the prowl. It'd pounce on her, and whoever unfortunate enough to be her company, soon. She'd keep making her way down the length of the beach, unhappily oblivious. WC: 252 ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ |
