Had he been lurking, passive and apathetic, on the fringes for so long? He'd skipped the first of the slave's challenges, and thus hadn't been aware that she wasn't a slave any longer. Had Ichor mentioned it at some point? Perhaps, but lately his brain had been foggy and easily distracted. So he sauntered with languid carelessness towards the growing crowd on the battlefield, he was merely following the trails of his siblings and mother as they all converged at a single point. And there was carnage in the midst of that murmuring crowd- carnage and chaos. Mismatched eyes scanned the group that has grown to surround the battle, and found his mother squaring off with the utmost intensity against the odd slave bitch. A tiny huff, and he shouldered his way through the crowd. There were more important things than mingling right now- his siblings were spectating, and he needed to be by their side. And... there was Ghoul. Throwing down with some pipsqueak that had wicked claws like a bird, and long teeth. A quick glance around showed an awful lot of other wolves about with similar markings over their face... which didn't seem promising.

Looming over his twin, the yearling Klein lowered his tapered crown to growl low in Ichor's ear. "We should have done more damage when we had the chance." he muttered blandly, with a hint of barely restrained frustration. Their good name was about to be dragged through the mud if their mother lost, and vengeance would be necessary. How had he been so ignorant- so blind? How had he missed all signs that this threat was even a possibility? Mottled banner sweeping across his heels, a brief flicker of anxiety rose in his throat before he could swallow it down. "And what the hell is Ghoul doing? Did I miss something?" he added with a frown, taking his eyes from the spectacle of their mother's challenge for a moment to observe the brawl between his littermate and the dark blur that was trying his damnedest to ruin Ghoul's face.
