Coming Out of the Shadows [Corbie]

Ayer had just finished tying off the hide that Corbie was holding onto the wooden frame of a shelter when the call came from the border. The voice was somewhat familiar in its timbre, but she could quite place it, and her curiosity was piqued. Still, she took a moment to eye the shelter they'd just completed, something like a tent with the poles buried in holes to make it semi-permanent. Just big enough for a few wolves to sit in out of the sun, with hide walls that could be rolled up in the summer or down in inclement weather. A sheep-minder's hut, set where anyone in it could watch this particular pasture in relative comfort. There was a much larger shelter in the works further into the pasture for the sheep, as well, but it wouldn't be completed for some time yet. There weren't enough paws for all the work to be done to set up, though luckily the barn and the structures Fireside had left were doing well enough for the time.

With a quick stretch and a sigh of contentment, Ayer swinging up onto her shoulders and Ren following at her heels, Corbie set off to answer the call, hoping the short wait hadn't been an issue for the caller.

A somewhat familiar face to go along with the somewhat familiar howl greeted her, and it took her a moment to place him. When she did, her politely friendly expression lit up. "Alarr! Welcome to the borders of Avalon," she said to him. "What can I do for you?"
