Another day had dawned over the Hallows and with it came the opportunity for Memento Mori to further explore the territories owned by the pack. She rose with the sun before Jacques or Rein had awoken, and set off through the castle toward a part of the Hallows she’d seen in passing but had yet to visit; The Wildberry Grove. She had seen the sunny meadow in passing, well, mainly the maple trees that had surrounded it. But the knowledge that it was there and had something that it could potentially offer was what had caught her attention. Meme wanted to see what the wildberry grove was like, and perhaps run into another member of the Hallows out here. Her meeting with Laeta had been pleasant and only continued to make her feel welcome as a pack guest.

Upon her arrival, the first thing Memento Mori took note of was the namesake of the place. There were bushes filled with different berry-bearing shrubs; elderberries, blueberries, strawberries, and more that she wasn’t sure of the name of. She stepped into the nook with her tail wagging eagerly behind her. From what she could see of the area so far it seemed quiet, not necessarily secluded but not exactly bustling either.

Meme hummed thoughtfully and approached one of the strawberry plants. The lower levels of the shrub looked as though they had already been a snack for some rodents and she had noticed even some of the top bits of fruit had been picked at by birds. Deciding that the only way to really see what the fuss was about was to try one of the berries herself the woman popped one of the sweet red fruits into her mouth. It was still quite juicy and very delicious! She closed her eyes, smacking her lips happily after the small treat. She might have been older but that didn’t mean she was too old for little snacks like this!
