It seemed the maned wolf woman was more than willing to start them off. Bellamy double checked her standard list of defenses mentally in her head, a quick glance over to make sure she hadn’t forgotten anything, and she braced herself for the other woman to come running. Though she was taller than the other she kept her ears pinned and eyes narrowed - a careless mistake in a real battle could leave them as targets. Her tail streamed out behind her, aligned with her spine for balance, and once her stand had been widened she dug her claws into the soil for tractiction and aid in balance as well. She didn’t have time for much else as the other woman gave a cheerful yip and bounded forward.

Bellamy braced herself, the smaller woman starting at her head on before Jynn slipped suddenly to her own right, Bellamy’s left, and then Jynn sought to twist her upper body toward the larger woman in an attempted attack. Bellamy let her come, keeping her weight distributed evenly across her limbs to avoid having her balance disrupted. Jynn’s jaws got a hold of her side, behind her left arm, just as Bellamy was moving for her own attack. Bellamy’s head twisted to the left, her jaws parting as she attempted to clamp her jaws over Jynn’s scruff in hopes of gaining control of the smaller woman’s head and upper body. Her goal was to get a good hold on the maned wolf, though she had to be mindful of the helmet her opponent wore. While Bellamy was tall enough to reach over her if Jynn decided she wanted to retaliate she could unfortunately get some damage in since it’d be too late for Bells to change her attack.

On either side of her Ears and Whisklers were at the ready to fend off the Ethiopian Wolf and Jaguar to the best of their ability - at least they could keep the two fighters focused on each other, without having to worry about their companions being thrown into the mix.
