Jynn's ears were back to minimize wind resistance as her long legs ate up the distance toward the finish line. She'd always been more of a sprinter so this race would push her a bit more. Her jaws parted to intake more oxygen as she ran and she tried to focus on the race though it wasn't easy. As the sun settled lower it painted the sky in rich shades of orange and crimson and cast the clouds a soft cream. Up ahead she could just see the ripples of bright neon blue as the incoming tide rippled the bioluminescent creatures that lived in these waters. She could feel her chest starting to burn a bit but she put her head down and continued on, hoping to seize victory.
