Living a Nightmare

He could smile at that subtle look of fear on her face, but he could feel it too. He could feel it intensely. As she took a step back his spirit reacted instantly, not on his watch. She wouldn't get away so easily. He was possessed by the urge to tear into her but it seemed that would be no good. It was like something told him that she couldn't really see him, and in that way he couldn't do anything to her.

He pivoted around in a circle around her, nearly pushing her forward, guiding her to something he wanted her to see. Definitely not the idea at first, but it seemed everything was just happening in the moment. He courted her over to the river's edge, the closer they got the darker it became. Almost like he was blinding her to just this one place alone. It was a moment before they made the distance and he let her get lost into this abyss of the ground that he forced her into, and it was then that he put his insentient paw at the back of her head, giving her the vision that drove them here.
