The young woman raced back to her home. It was getting late and the sun was setting, so she knew she had even less time than she thought. 'Bother, why was I so stupid!' She thought. Her legs were spindly and long and so they carried her at a good clip for a yearling, but nothing near as fast as an adult. She had been in the woods seeing if she could catch a bird for the past several hours. It was tricky business catching birds! Of course, she had heard the call of her alpha Chrysanthe, but she had not recognized it as important at the time. Silly girl! So now here she was running as fast as she could towards her home so she could find Chrysanthe and explain.

Whatever had possessed her to think that the Alpha of Valhalla would give her a personal audience after she had blatantly disobeyed orders was beyond her, but that's what she thought was best and she was going to do her best to get it done. The girl wanted to be a warrior after all and warriors weren't afraid of anything! She really hoped that her not showing up for the meeting wouldn't be detrimental to her future career. Of gosh, she really hoped not. Resnera died a little bit on the inside just thinking of it.

Up ahead she sees Chrysanthe and her feet stumble in nervousness. Here goes nothing! Slowing to a walk, Resnera tries to look as dignified as possible, but it was a failed attempt with her eyes wide and her fur all wind blown. "Alpha Chrysanthe," She gave her elder a little hurried bow before rushing into her explanation, "I'm so sorry! I heard your call, but didn't recognize it until later, and I was trying to catch a bird, they are very tricky to catch you know, and I had to climb this tree, and when I finally got up there the bird was gone, and as I was climbing down I realized that it was you that called, and that I had probably missed something important...and...and.... I'm sorry." Big blue eyes looked up at her alpha and pleaded for forgiveness.
