A gift and a lesson

“Oh!” He said, pausing as the tiny child smacked purposefully into his foreleg. Grabbing it in a hug. It was comical, how greatly it highlighted their differences in height. He was almost afraid he had misjudged and made the bag too big - but a glance from it to her told him the portions would work. Luckily, he had based it off his own pups when they had been a little younger.

He held the bag up for her to slip into, and she did so easily enough. He released it, and it fell against her shoulder. Hmm. a little large, but not overly so, and she still had some growing to do… hopefully. “Well” He said briskly. “You’ll grow into it.” He gave her one last appraising look, and then turned the matters over to something else. “While I’m here, I thought you might like some instructions. Do you have any interest in fighting, or perhaps hunting?” Those where his expertise
