There was no point in delving into all of that with the girl. The yearling wanted her to think he was strong and cool, not some mopey baby that got all soft where his family was involved. "Sounded like it wasn't gonna happen for a long time. I just got excited. Eager, if you will. Didn't want to wait." See, he was a liar too, albeit not the best one yet. It's like they were plucked from the same tree.

What did you say your name was?" She hadn't, and neither had he. Formalities seemingly got thrown out the window during all of this. Whoopsie.
