L urid was clearly none too pleased by the presence of an emissary rather than the alpha themselves as well, but like himself, she was good at wearing masks in front of strangers. She gave away nothing of her true dislike of the situation as she spoke with this diplomat from their neighbors. The wolf introduced herself as Keahi and a diplomat from the Armada, confirming his suspicions, as well as providing them the name of the alpha of the Armada. Sirius. Yes, he had heard the name before. A shame he wouldn't get to see the face to associate with it though. Despite being faced with two wolves significantly taller than she, Keahi remained calm and composed. He had to give her credit, she was very good at her job. But pleasantries only went so far, and Requiem was already planning on bringing their own visit to this Sirius' front door so they could meet the alpha that had been too busy to come himself that he sent this little girl to them instead.
K eahi asked what Mirovis was intended to be as a pack, and Requiem had to bite his tongue to keep from asking if she began all introductions with interrogations of others' personal matters, but Lurid was thankfully quick to step in and offer an innocuous, if not simple, explanation of her pack's purpose. Never one to disagree with his queen, Requiem added in, "Most of the pack is made up of wolves from the Amarix family, a noble line from a distant and long dead land. Our hopes are to rebuild this family here, with whoever survives and whatever's left. Pick up the pieces, so to speak." The dire brute tactfully left out the pack's ambitions of growing to become a longstanding empire and dynasty, of course. No need to burden a messenger with those sorts of details. "Your alpha, he likens himself as a Warlord, does he?" asked Requiem with a raise of a brow as he took his turn to ask Keahi about the pack she spoke for. "Does the Armada often march to war that their leader is called such? How afraid should we be living next to you?" It was all in falseness, of course. Requiem knew no fear, but if their neighbors were prone to raids or invasions, it would be nice to know ahead of time what to expect.
