Rivin had spent some time with Calico Jack after he rescued her from nearly drowning. She had started to reflect on the weird shit that happened whenever she got angry. She lost herself, blanked out like she fell asleep. It was bizarre. She'd promised him to be more careful, originally coming to Boreas to gather more herbs to bring back to the islands and try to grow in her makeshift garden. But seeing the lands they used to live in bothered her. Bitterness crept into her heart and she kept going toward the Battlefield. She needed more practice. She felt like she was going to go mad with her need to become better at fighting. She knew she needed to confront her father before the rift between them was unrepairable… she had looked up to him. He had always seemed to be so cool, someone she could respect. Though she responded to his disappointment with anger she knew it was because it hurt he was disappointed. That he would look at his kids that way at all. She looked up, not even realizing that she had come into the vicinity of a combatant. Rivin bristled, slipping into her defenses as she saw the woman's own ready stance. "Hope you're ready! Rivin charged, barreling right for her opponent. She had seen others feint to one side or the other but not her. She aimed to slam directly into the woman unless she dodged.
